2nd Annual Masquerade Ball
Lafayette Grande Crystal Ballroom
This event has already passed by. Sorry.
Event Description
Last year we ran kind of
a test, how many people would show up for a night including an open bar and
anonymity? The answer - Quite a few! This year we are recreating that exciting
night but making it bigger and better and more meaningful. Last year I
threw the event because I wanted a night of fun and I got it, but I had no
money left over. This year we are doing it a little different, we are raising
the prices but instead of just doing it to have fun, we are running the
event as a benefit for the family of Lisa Lamphere.
Lisa was diagnosed with Stage 4 terminal brain
cancer on June 1, 2013 when she went in due to repeating headaches. Prior to
this she showed no symptoms of the illness. She was an outgoing woman with two
grown children (Sean & Drew Wilder), a five year old miracle (Morgan Fawcett)
and a loving husband (Eric Lamphere). The months following her diagnosis Lisa underwent
multiple brain surgeries, chemo and radiation. She tried everything to beat the
cancer but unfortunately on October 25th, just 22 days after her 50th
birthday, the cancer took her life.
The proceeds of this benefit will go towards her husband and daughter to help them pay off the extraordinary medical bills and get back on their feet. We will be featuring raffles with much bigger prizes than last year, a photographer, a full buffet dinner and for those who choose to an open premium bar.
ALSO NEW this year – Tickets at a discounted rate for
non-drinkers.
Come to have a great
night and toast to the memory of an amazing, beautiful woman.
